Episode 227: Viola Cheptoo Lagat

Viola Cheptoo Lagat is a middle-distance runner from Kenya who competed in the 2016 summer Olympic games. Viola has gone on to help found Tirop's Angels, which is an organization that seeks to bring awareness and fight against gender-based violence, especially in Kenya. The organization was founded in honor of the famous Kenyan runner, Agnes Tirop, who was found stabbed to death in her home in 2021. Her husband is on trial as the prime suspect. Viola talked with me about femicide in Kenya, her work in the organization, and the hope she has for the future of African women.

Please enjoy the 227th episode of Lament of Hope highlighting Viola Cheptoo Lagat. Viola, thank you for talking with me about the important work you do and the passion you have to see wounded hearts healed.

Episode 226: Remigio Pereira

Remigio Pereira has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. His music is raw, honest, and vulnerable. Remigio was a founding member of the vocal group, "The Tenors," and traveled around the world for about a decade sharing the stage with renowned musicians such as Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, and David Foster. Remigio sat down with me to talk about his time in the mainstream music industry, his difficult departure from "The Tenors" in 2016, and his faith journey.

Please enjoy the 226th episode of Lament of Hope highlighting Remigio Pereira. Remigio, thank you for sharing the most transforming chapter of your story with me and my audience.
