Episode 233: Drew Lynch

 

           ⁠ Drew Lynch became known as the "Stuttering Comedian" when he competed on "America's Got Talent" in 2015. He finished as the runner-up and went on to have a successful stand-up comedy career. Drew is currently on tour right now but took the time to sit down with me and talk about topics beyond comedy. We discussed identity, compassion, and the uniting power of laughter.

He uses the passion he has for music, specifically that of the classical guitar, to share the message of Christ and Him crucified with the world. He has traveled across the globe to bring the gentle strains of melody and hope to listening hearts.

Episode 227: Viola Cheptoo Lagat

 

           ⁠ Viola Cheptoo Lagat is a middle-distance runner from Kenya who competed in the 2016 summer Olympic games. Viola has gone on to help found Tirop's Angels, which is an organization that seeks to bring awareness and fight against gender-based violence, especially in Kenya. The organization was founded in honor of the famous Kenyan runner, Agnes Tirop, who was found stabbed to death in her home in 2021. Her husband is on trial as the prime suspect. Viola talked with me about femicide in Kenya, her work in the organization, and the hope she has for the future of African women.
